Nicolas Granger delivers keynote lectures on spinal cord injury

14th October 2022

Congratulations to Nicolas Granger, Neurology Specialist at Highcroft Referrals, who was invited to deliver two keynote lectures presenting his seminal research on ‘Spinal Cord Injury’ at the prestigious European College of Veterinary Neurology Symposium in Palma in September.

Nicolas has contributed significant research to furthering treatment of spinal cord injury in companion animals during his career in the UK to date, work originating from Professor Jeffery’s laboratory who is now based in the US.

In the clinic, Nicolas uniquely offers sacral neuroprosthesis, a surgery which provides artificial emptying of the bladder for dogs with incontinence following spinal cord injury. Nicolas also performs cell transplants for spinal cord injury by injection of cells into the spinal cord. Continuous research is ongoing to refine these repair strategies.
