The internal medicine team at Highcroft Referrals has undergone a fair bit of change in the last few weeks and we felt that this was a good opportunity to present the new team to you. Many of you will be used to speaking with Kerry who has now left us for pastures new and Sabela who has just begun her maternity leave and we wish them both the best in the coming future. We are, however, very fortunate, to have gained three new internal medicine clinicians who bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge as well as a desire to provide you, our referring vets, the best service that we possibly can. The new team is now Paul Higgs, Helen Wilson, Florence Vessieres, Guillaume Ruiz and Oncologist Owen Davies. We want to ensure that we provide you and your owners with an approachable, pragmatic and efficient service to give your owners’ pets the best care that is available.

We strongly believe that good communication with both referring vets and owners is the cornerstone to success in internal medicine cases and we would like to encourage you to pick up the phone and discuss cases with us even if this is just for advice. Every case will be approached with fresh eyes but we understand the importance of accommodating the financial, emotional and logistical limitations for each pet owner as we discuss the plans for their animals. We are also happy to see clients for consultation only appointments to allow clients time to consider their options before proceeding with investigations. To assist you in cases with financial restrictions we are also happy to accept “out-patient” upper GI endoscopy requests..

It is very important to us that we provide our referring vets with the service that they are looking for and so we welcome any feedback and suggestions that you might have to help us improve this service.
