Exciting developments within Highcroft referrals exotics service

7th April 2021

We are very excited to announce the introduction of some key changes to the way our exotics referral service runs. Our dedicated team is led by Sonya Miles BVSc CertAVP (ZM) CertAqV MRCVS, RCVS Recognised Advanced Practitioner in Zoological Medicine and WAVMA Certified Aquatic Species Veterinarian. Sonya is closely supported by two dedicated exotic species interns Amy Reynolds BVetMed MRCVS and Caoimhe Hodgins MVB MRCVS. The team is completed by our highly qualified exotic species veterinary nurses Kati Heddington RVN C&GVNES, and Laura Warren Wildlife Conservation BSc(Hons) DipRVN C&GVNES who between them have worked with exotic species team for more than 15 years.

 

Exotics Advice line poster24 hour 7 days a week service  

The team have introduced a 24 hour 7 day a week referral service for referring vets to access which will include client liaison and admission for triage or treatment as necessary.

The exotics team are also available to contact via the free advice line service. Advice on cases and discussing the suitability or benefits of referral, or guidance on a tricky case. Give them a call or email them to discuss.

Our dedicated outpatient CT scan service can assist in cases where advanced imaging is beneficial to aid in diagnosis with possibility for full referral if required once results have been obtained.

We are proudly introducing these changes and we hope that they will be a great benefit to you and your patients. Progressing exotic level referrals to be more available whenever you need us.
